Rovos Rail

 

Rovos Rail journeys generally cost about $1,000 per person per night on board, including all meals, on-board beverages, an onboard historian and guided excursions when the journey permits.  That makes a 2-night journey between Pretoria and Durban fairly accessible at around $4,000 per couple for their Pullman cabin.
